This training will provide information related to understanding the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and explore strategies to help professionals work successfully with children on the spectrum.
The training will be provided by Blake Stephenson, an independent social worker and a board certified behavior analyst. He currently serves as the Autism Program Manager at Tanager Place. Blake has been engaged with individuals with disabilities since he was 8 years old when he began volunteering and working at Special Olympics, summer camps and more. He has clinically been working with this population for six years. Blake is a current member of the Governor’s Autism Council and the statewide autism expert panel.
This training is appropriate for professionals who work with children, which may include DHS workers, JCO staff, human service providers, educators and similar professionals.
