An event every week that begins at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, repeating until June 29, 2021
Tanager Place is holding open interviews each Tuesday in June from 1:30-6:00pm for Youth Service Workers and Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) Caseworkers. Start a rewarding career at Tanager Place and make an impact for children, teens, young adults and families.
Full-time and Part-time positions are available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.
A Youth Service Worker will function as a member of the Inpatient Team providing direct care services that are client centered, strengths based and professional. This position provides for the supervision and safety of client/consumer and normalcy activities for growth and wellbeing.
As a member of the Behavioral Health Intervention (BHIS) Team you will be directly meeting with children and their families to provide skill building services addressing their mental health diagnosis. Skill services center around seven focus areas to include: cognitive flexibility skills, communication skills, conflict resolution skills, executive skills, interpersonal relationship skills, problem solving skills, and social skills. In this position, you will provide indirect coordination and collaboration with other professionals to coordinate services for the benefit for the child/family.
Since our humble beginnings as Linn County’s First Children’s Human Service agency (we’ve been around since 1879), Tanager Place has evolved to serve the ever-evolving needs of our community. Our programs focus on prevention, treatment and outreach, and serve children and teens of all ages.
We support more than 4,000 kids per year—primarily in Linn and Johnson counties in southeast Iowa—but all families are welcome at Tanager Place.
