There will be times as brain(mental) health worker where you will engage with clients who are affected by an intellectual disability. In this webinar you will gain a better understanding of how to engage and work with clients who have a dual diagnosis of an intellectual disability and brain(mental) health diagnosis. You will be introduced to best practices, techniques and strategies when engaging with clients who are affected by an intellectual disability in both direct and indirect brain(mental) health settings.

Live for Certificate of Attendance

  • This event will be offered as a LIVE WEBINAR, with live options for Q&A through the online platform ZOOM. At the start of the live webinar, participants will be asked to complete a sign-in form with their name and email address associated with their zoom account and for their certificate. Participants must fully attend the webinar and complete a post event sign out survey to receive their certificate.

On-Demand after Event

  • This event will be recorded and available on demand for anyone unable to attend the event live but not wanting to miss out on the valuable learning. All registered ticket holders will receive a post event email containing a link and directions for accessing the webinar on-demand for 30 days. Please note, a certificate of attendance will not be provided for on-demand participants.

About the presenter:

Emma Harding is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and School Based Therapy Program Manager at Tanager. Her background includes providing therapeutic services in school-based settings ranging from early education through college. Emma is trained in advanced play therapy techniques and EMDR. She has experience and is passionate in working with families and children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in addition to years of experience in providing and working with various after school and summer programing for youth. Emma is passionate about spreading awareness and education regarding mental health, intellectual disabilities, trauma informed care and resiliency based models..
