Tanager Place Welcomes Back the Community at Two Summer Events in June

Tanager Place is excited to announce the return of Summer Fest as a drive through event on June 5th, and a brand new event, the June Jam on June 26th.

The annual Summer Fest event will take place at Collins Aerospace in a reimagined format on June 5th. Drive through attendees will receive a goodie bag with craft kits, STEAM activities, a General Mills cereal box decorating contest, and more! Geared for ages 4-10, kids and families are sure to get the summer started in a revved up fashion. To guarantee an event bag, visit tanagerplace.org/summerfest and register for a time slot.

On June 26th, join Tanager Place for the first ever June Jam! This fundraiser for Tanager Place is a way to come together, connect and celebrate the mission of Tanager Place in a COVID conscientious way. Enjoy great food, live music, and fun at this outdoor simple summer social event to benefit the 4,000 children and families Tanager Place serves each year. “We are excited to welcome back the community and supporters of Tanager Place at these fun events to kickoff the start of summer. Now more than ever, coming together to support the mission of Tanager Place in these meaningful ways will sustain the work of our organization well in to the future. The last 18 months have affected all of us and it will be even more important to offer services and support in new and different ways. Our work is really just beginning, and we could not be more ready to do what we do best, which is to offer inspiration and healing,” commented Tanager Place CEO, Okpara Rice.
