Tanager Place

Clinical Staff

Avary Brinker

Avary received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Brain/Cognitive Science from Wells College. She then earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University. “I strive to foster a welcoming and nurturing environment so that my clients can learn and grow into the best version of themselves. I chose Tanager Place because the mission of inspiring, empowering and healing are values that are important to me as well as in my relationships with others. I appreciate the guidance that has been shared with me from leaders as well as other staff members during my time here, allowing me to grow as a person and a clinician. I first learned about Tanager Place when I moved to Iowa in 2014 and served as an AmeriCorps member at McKinley Middle School, so joining the outpatient clinic feels like my time in Iowa has come full circle.”
