Tanager Place

Clinical Staff

Brianna White

Brianna received her MSW from Campbellsville University in Kentucky, and her Bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Christian University, prior to joining the Tanager Place team in 2021.

My goal, personally and professionally, is to promote dignity and worth of all people- I want people that I encounter to know and understand that they have value and worth inside of them, and to find ways to use this to empower their growth and healing. My professional experience comes from the field of foster care, and I have a passion for working with children who have experienced trauma (including/especially the inherent trauma of the foster care system and/or adoption). I have completed trauma trainings and certifications (CTP) to promote this work, and I bring that trauma informed care into my work with schools.

Additionally, I am passionate about normalizing conversations about mental health and improving access to mental health resources and services that promote wellbeing in individuals and communities. I am proud to currently be using this passion to support my work with the Benton Community School District as a part of Tanager’s School Based therapy program. I love Tanager’s mission and vision for the program, which is what brought me to Tanager place when I moved back to (my home state) Iowa in 2021, following my experiences in West Virginia and attending college in Kentucky.
