School Based

Emily Dehner

Emily attended the University of Northern and received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Family Studies and Criminology, and earned her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

“My motivation for becoming a School Based Therapist is one that I have found to be the same for many others in the Mental Health field. That is, I have a great desire to help others find healing, to be a support that others can rely on, and to promote the growth of others through therapy. I am ecstatic to work for an organization such as Tanager Place whose mission aligns so closely with my own of helping kids find the healing they deserve. I have experience with helping those who have experienced trauma, and am in awe of the resilience and strength of my clients who manage to keep moving forward and find healing. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and healing environment for my clients so they can further their own coping skills, fulfill their values, and find empowerment.”
