Autism Spectrum Disorder Services
Your child may benefit from a variety of services geared toward positively affecting their well-being and functioning in the world. Options include:
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Treatment is individualized to meet each child’s needs. Board Certified Behavior Analysts oversee assessment and treatment, while collaborating with your child’s care team and you to ensure your child’s success.
Social Skills Groups
Social skills groups can help children on the autism spectrum understand how to relate and communicate with others. Children in kindergarten through high school may participate in social skills groups.

If the Cedar Rapids School District cancels school or releases school early due to weather, Tanager Place Social Skills Group will not meet that evening. Social skills coaches with post the announcement on the Tanager Place Facebook page and with local television stations.

Additional autism treatment services are available depending on your family’s needs:
Trained, licensed therapists work with children and families to treat emotional and behavior challenges through AutPlay, behavior therapy, play therapy, expressive arts therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, family therapy and/or theraplay.
Pediatric Integrated Health (PIH)
Assists families impacted by various diagnoses, by coordinating community and therapy services that promote good physical and mental health.
Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)
In-home services provide individual and family skill-building programming focused on areas like emotional regulation, coping and parenting techniques.
