Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Art’s degree from Mount Mercy University. She then earned her Master of Art’s from Minnesota State University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. “I became a licensed therapist because of the impact good mental health care made in the lives of the people that I love. I’m endlessly curious, and I strive to develop collaborative and transparent relationships with clients and their families. Kathryn serves clients at both Cedar Rapids and Coralville clinic locations.
I’m passionate about doing what works, and also about being open to the diverse avenues through which individuals and families can change, grown and adapt. I strive to be creative about interventions, solutions and possibilities. I’m always up for something new, but my approach is largely influenced by dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). I’m always looking for the middle path.”
