“One hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the type of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove…but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
“After I graduated from college, I was given a canvas with this quote printed on it. I have continued to carry this message with me over the 20 years I have worked in the mental health field. I enjoy the opportunity to work with children to help them work through difficult situations in their lives so they can heal and find their own inner strength. I feel we all have the opportunity to learn from those that enter our lives. I have found that I have learned a great deal from the children and families that I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. It is my hope that when children complete their time with me they leave with a greater sense of empowerment, resiliency, and self-worth to facilitate change within their lives.”
