“I always knew music would be part of my career, but I wanted to do more than teach it. I wanted to help people experience its power. It’s power to support, validate, regulate emotions, and help people communicate. It is such an honor to be able to share what I love with others by mixing my knowledge with other treatment modalities and having the honor of planting seeds and witnessing the differences being made.”

Amber has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a Major in Music Therapy from Wartburg College and is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC). She also has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Amber provides therapy services on an individual and family basis with experience working with trauma, developmental disabilities, Autism, anxiety, depression, family systems and sensory processing disorders. Music therapy concepts and interventions are utilized when appropriate for a deeper experience. Modalities utilized are EMDR, DBT, Narrative, and Adlerian Play Therapy. Amber is currently working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist and recently became a certified EMDR practitioner, Certified AutPlay Therapy provider, and is trained in ASIST. Amber is also trained to conduct the ADOS-2, which is an assessment to diagnose autism spectrum disorders.
