February Forums have been planned that will provide meaningful discussions especially as it affects communities of color. I am proud to say that we will have Mr. Adam Foss from Boston join us February 15th at 10:00 am at Sinclair Auditorium at Coe College for a presentation and community roundtable. Adam is the Executive Director of Prosecutor Impact and a leading voice on how to improve our system for all. His Ted Talk has been viewed by over two million viewers and he works actively to improve the lives in his community.
In addition, we will also have a screening of Uncommon Allies on February 23rd at 10:00 am in Kesler Lecture Hall at Coe College. This powerful documentary about some violence reduction efforts in Kansas City that Marion Police Chief McHale informed me about. We will also have the filmmaker, Chief McHale and some of the community advocates featured in the film for a panel discussion after the screening. Check out the trailer for the film here.
