Awareness of Self & Others is a part of the “S” Social and Emotional Development element of the RISE Framework. In this episode, you will join Tonya Hotchkin LMFT, RPT, CTRP-C, the creator of the RISE: Wellness and Resilience Framework™, and Lindsey Swales LISW, RPT-S, Outpatient Manager at Tanager Place Mental Wellbeing Clinic as they discuss the importance of growing an awareness of self and others.

“Having awareness of ourselves and others helps us as parents to stay grounded in those tough moments with our kids, it helps us respond with more empathy and understanding.  When we are aware our own feelings, thoughts, and responses then we can be more regulated in times of stress. We need this awareness in order to respond more effectively to our children’s emotions and experiences as well as responding in ways that are in line with the values we are trying to instill in our children.”

– Lindsey Swales LISW, RPT-S
