A Safe Space to Heal and Stabilize

At The Summit House, our team of compassionate professionals creates a secure environment where youth can stabilize and work toward returning to their homes and communities. Our focus is on safety, healing, and preparing for a successful transition back to everyday life.

Collaborative, Personalized Care

While at The Summit House, youth work closely with Tanager’s interdisciplinary team, their families, referring workers, and program staff. Together, we assess each individual’s treatment needs, set measurable goals, and develop a clear plan to achieve safety and stability. Open communication ensures all options, expectations, and timelines are clearly understood.

Youth at The Summit House have access to a variety of evidence-based and creative treatment options, including:

  • Recreation therapy
  • Expressive Arts services
  • Individual counseling
  • Group and family therapy

These services are tailored to meet each youth’s age and cognitive abilities, providing a personalized and holistic approach to their care.

Summit House Eligibility

  • Youth 17 and under
  • Voluntarily seeking services
  • Youth who are not in imminent danger to self or others
  • Youth who do not require medical attention

Seek Help Now

Youth can be referred to Summit House at Tanager in the following ways:

  • Youth ages 14-17 can self-refer (parent/guardian consent required)
  • Parents and legal guardians can contact directly for services
  • Community support workers or other providers cn make a referral

Tanager also partners with Foundation 2 mobile crisis. If you are experiencing a crisis and need support where you are, please contact Foundation 2 mobile crisis and they can help you in making a referral to the Summit House at Tanager.
