Join the Meraki Institute of Learning at Tanager and Kirkwood Corporate Training for this FREE WEBINAR as we explore the important link between Mental Health and Access to Care. Emma Harding, LMFT and Director of the Meraki Institute will guide participants in understanding why “access to care” means and why it is so critically important for our communities overall mental health. Participants will also learn how they can specifically access care at Tanager, Iowa’s oldest youth and family serving non-profit and expert in providing comprehensive services to support mental wellbeing of youth and families.
Meet the Presenter
Emma Harding is a licensed Marriage and serves as Director of the Meraki Institute of learning. Her background includes providing therapeutic services in school based settings ranging from early education through college. As a clinician, Emma believes all children have a story to tell that can lead to a magical ending. Some stories come with a plot twist, while others may have some unfinished chapters. She is passionate about providing a safe space for children to re-write and reclaim their own story, creating a magical ending for themselves and their family.
Emma is trained in advanced play therapy techniques and EMDR. She has experience and is passionate in working with families and children with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in addition to years of experience in providing and working with various after school and summer programing for youth. Emma is passionate about spreading awareness and education regarding trauma informed care and resiliency based models. When not at work you can probably find Emma taking walks outside and being with friends and family.
Celebrate Mental Health Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and as a trusted expert in the community, the Meraki Institute of Learning partners with many organizations in May to help increase awareness of Mental Health challenges and provide education on how every person can work to improve their mental wellbeing and advocate for larger systems change to create a community of greater mental wellbeing and resilience.
