Elizabeth Tursi

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics with a minor in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University. She then earned her Master of Art’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University.

“My local and international work experiences have given me the opportunity to engage with families in different life stages and with different backgrounds. These experiences have given me a passion for working with children, and their families. And encouraged me to come back to my community and examine how I can support my communities needs.

My goal as a therapist is to collaboratively work with individuals, couples, and families to discover their innate sense of self, while developing compassion and understanding for themselves and others. My goal when working with diverse clients is to validate their life experiences and provide a safe and empathetic environment. I will meet you where you are, with unconditional positive regard.

I am excited to give space for kids and their families to feel empowered and autonomous. I strive to facilitate the healing process and find ways to authentically connect. I believe that in examining the lesser told stories of ourselves we can find new meaning in ourselves and those around us. Through these new narratives we can find our sense of self and find new ways of relating to those in our lives.”
